At Mulholland Painting we are constantly improving our service; in particular, we have implemented changes to our policy regarding the environment and the use of solvent-based paints.

We believe in the power of individuals to reduce green house gas emissions and help pave the way towards a sustainable future.

Our ambition is to raise awareness surrounding the carbon footprint of traditional paints by discussing the environmentally friendly options now on offer with every customer. We aim to combat our own impact on the environment using innovative products for a brighter future.

We have invested in the SA Water Approved Dulux Envirowash Unit, which once processed the clear water from Envirowash can be recycled into other trade related applications, released onto flat grassy areas and gardens, or used to wash our equipment again and again. We will continue to implement innovative concepts with the aim of providing an even better service that won't cost the Earth.

The biggest environmental issue facing the painting and decorating industry today is that of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions.

We are committed to reducing our use of paints which emit Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. We recommend the use of low VOC water-based paints such as Dulux Wash & Wear Eco Choice and Carbon Neutral Dulux products Professional Envir02 and Aquanamel. Low VOC types of paint offer reduced emissions and little or no odour.

Unwanted water-based paints and water-based timber coatings dry into a solid waste for convenient disposal using the Dulux Enviro Solutions Waste Paint Hardener.
